A Journal of Evidence

A practice of abundance is often initiated by the desire of a specific item, emotional state or experience. Whether it is a loving relationship, increased income, a new home, vacation, success, health, etc. the minute we declare a specific desire the mind looks for evidence as to its inevitable elusiveness and unlikelihood of actually manifesting in our life. We are taught to assess progress by what is not working rather than what is working.

An Evidence Journal is designed to list all signs large or small of the inevitable manifestation of your desire. Every day list all events, occurrences, coincidences any indication of the arrival of your desire. Every time you list evidence, celebrate be happy and anticipatory. Abundance is the prolonged state of faith, your Evidence Journal will speed your journey.

Thoughts are Powerful Tools of Manifestation

In my early to mid twenties I was struggling to pay rent and feed myself; I actually ended up without my own place to live. I had to rely on others to give me a couch or space on the floor to sleep. I didn’t feel very much gratitude during this time. When someone suggested I should write down the things I have to be grateful for I responded by saying, “You don’t seem to understand. I have a lot of problems right now.” The response was, “Did you ever think the reason you have all these problems could be connected with the way you view the world and your thinking.” Until then I had never really given that thought. I just assumed life was rough and something to be endured. I didn’t realize that maybe my thinking had something to do with it being so rough.

At that time I didn’t have the slightest understanding that my thoughts were powerful tools of manifestation. Not just on an external level, but most importantly…… internally. In reality, it’s not about the situations that we go through that makes the difference, it’s about the way we view those situations that makes the greatest difference.

If we’re so caught up in feeling like life is unfair and we are just the hopeless victim of circumstances we tend to carry that energy around with us. If, on the other hand, we look for a way to learn from experiences and to be grateful for those experiences, life becomes very meaningful.

There is power in the silence

How often do we miss subtle messages due to all the noise around us? Take time to get quiet and notice what surfaces.

Purpose Driven Life

How often have you heard someone say, “I just want to know what my purpose in life is?” or……”I just want to know why I am here?”…….Sound familiar. Could that someone be you? Perhaps a big part of our purpose is not to know, but rather to trust that whatever we are doing and whatever direction we are headed, we’re right where we’re supposed to be.

Maybe it’s just about being grateful for the mystery of life. To be grateful for all the experiences no matter how good, how bad, how pleasurable or how painful these experiences may be.

Throughout history there has been so much confusion and misery. And the confusion seems to be escalating at an ever increasing speed. Our society has gone through periods over and over again about wanting bigger, better, more. As a result - we seem to have gotten bigger, better and more insanity that is reflected in so many different ways. All we have to do is open our eyes and look around.

It’s in the wanting in life that can lead to the misery we are witness to. Also to violence, greed, lust, war, alcoholism, drug addiction, and so much of what we see as ours and others destructions. And yet, it could just be that the very things that seem to be destroying so many - could be the salvation of others. Those very things might be what are giving people their purpose in life to help others. Mostly - helping others to find meaning in their life.

A big part of the confusion people are experiencing is wanting more and more and more. How often do people make a decision of what they want in life, work very hard to get it, sacrifice for years, only to realize after obtaining their gold ring, that’s not what’s going to bring them happiness? And how much did some people give up in order to get all the things that were going to make them happy. Now, desiring to have nice things is not wrong or bad. It can be very good.

What can be bad is how much significance we place on these things. And what the motive for having these things are.

A lot of confusion is also due to people wanting to control the outcome of their lives. Sometimes you just have to surrender. To let go. To release. In the hustle and bustle of today’s world there will be times we try to control what’s going on around us. And it seems the more we attempt to control, the more things get out of control. And letting go of the outcome of our life will be the most difficult thing most people will ever attempt to do. Yet, in truly letting go, this is were we will find the deepest level of peace, serenity and happiness.

Have you ever wondered what it is that most people seem to desire in life? Think about that for a moment. ………… What is it you wish for more than anything else?………More than all the material riches in the world. ……….More than recognition……… more than fame???…….Happiness and peace seem to be at the top of the list. Happiness is a very personal experience. Ultimately ………happiness is really about freedom. Freedom to live a life of fulfillment. Freedom to express who we are, to love without restrictions. Where does this fulfillment come from? For those who have had a glimpse of this they know that ultimately it comes from having a higher being, or God, in there life. With God in our life all things seem to work out. We are more fulfilled and content regardless of what may be occurring outwardly.

Granted, with all the influences around us, it can be very easy to get sidetracked from our path by the seduction of success. What does that really mean? ……..Success? So many people are trying to achieve it and yet have they ever really taken the time to define what success means to them. Often, people get messed up by the journey they are on which will lead them to their illusion of success.

Do Your Thoughts Support or Hinder You?

Virtually everyone has had the experience of finding money. Often the first thought is not one of gratitude for the discovery, but rather feeling it should have been more. A common response might be, “Why couldn’t it have been a ten instead of a dollar?"

Thoughts either support or deflect abundance. If you think what you were just blessed with is insignificant you are sure to block the flow that is coming to you. The quickest way to block something is to put it down or say it is not enough. The next time money appears before you, regardless of the amount, give thanks for it.

As you do this, allow the feeling of gratitude to be a part of the experience. What will begin to happen is the more you express gratitude for the “little” things, the more you open yourself up to receive the “big” things.

Life experiences draw out of us that which we didn't even know was there. It is in the experiences we grow, learn and expand.

Life’s Lessons

Not everything in life is a lesson to be learned. Sometimes things simply happen as a part of the process of life. I can release the need to analyze every situation and simply be in the experience of life.

Change is the natural order of life. Some change I willingly embrace. Other change I may be tempted to resist. When I get in the quiet place that allows me to listen to the process of life, I realize all transformation is a part of the master plan for my life and the lives of others. The more I embrace the change, the closer I can be to following my path.
